OrderEase - Cancel Order helps Shopify merchants allow customers to request full or partial order cancellations from the storefront, checkout thank-you page, and customer account/order status areas.
Information We Access
The app accesses Shopify order information needed to check whether an order can be cancelled, display cancellable items, submit cancellation requests, cancel eligible orders, process refunds through Shopify, restock inventory, add order notes or tags, and show merchant-configured customer messages.
This may include order IDs, order status, fulfillment status, line items, quantities, prices, refund details, inventory/restock location information, and the shop domain.
Information We Store
OrderEase - Cancel Order stores merchant-level app settings, including cancellation rules, cancellation reasons, cancellation window settings, customer-facing messages, support email, support contact text, and subscription-related state.
The app does not intentionally store customer personal information such as names, addresses, phone numbers, or payment card details. Customer and order data remains primarily within Shopify.
How We Use Information
We use accessed information only to provide the app’s cancellation functionality, including:

Checking whether an order is eligible for cancellation

Showing customers which items can be cancelled

Processing eligible refunds through Shopify’s original payment flow

Data Sharing
We do not sell customer or merchant data.
We do not share customer data with third parties for advertising, marketing, or profiling. Data is used only to operate the app and communicate with Shopify APIs as required for the app’s functionality.
Data Retention and Deletion
Merchant app settings may be retained while the app is installed.
When a merchant uninstalls the app or Shopify sends a shop redaction request, OrderEase - Cancel Order deletes stored shop-related app data, including app sessions and cancellation settings.

Security
OrderEase - Cancel Order uses Shopify authentication and webhook verification to help protect app access and validate requests. The app communicates with Shopify using secure HTTPS connections.
Customer Payment Information
OrderEase - Cancel Order does not collect, request, store, or process customer payment card information. Refunds are handled through Shopify and the original payment processor where applicable.
